Ok Iam intrigued how anxiety can make you read something you don't want to. OCD themes (checking) then yes. ATB

Hey don't knock your posts there is nothing wrong with taking a look back at your posts as they may help you get a better understanding of your condition and jog your memory ATB

Well no one is forcing you. And yeah it is OCD not anxiety, what you mean about other forums you are wanting to check old posts there too? I will have a look at maybe old threads I have started Iam not compelled to just want to, even though I do have OCD it doesn't affect me in the same way as you. every one is different mate ATB

Lots of people read about very emotive subjects out of interest. It doesn't have to mean they are bad for some reason. So that's worth remembering here.

Would you see this is not just obsessive thinking but also a feeling of a building urge? A building tension until you click & read the sites?

And with the thoughts is it more about the need to just do this rather than the context of the material? I'm wondering whether this is more a compulsion-based cycle?

I'm glad you feel able to discuss it though, sexual themes in OCD are emotive and it's understandable to worry about opening up about them.
