low blood pressure

hi does anyone know if citalopram lowers blood pressure? mine is about 98/53 and im worried!! is that normal..it was high before i started meds coz i was so anxious been on meds 6months.x thanks all kelly.xx

HI kELLYLORRAINE, I don't take the same medication as you, I am on Dosulepin, but since taking them my bp has gone down and it is usually about 90/60 or sometimes a bit lower and mine has been that way for about 4 years and I am fine, the only time min goes up a lot is when the bp is taken at the doctors, then it's sky high. Hope this stops you worrying.

Hi kelly i have seen my bp 98/52 from some meds i use to take. They at one time released me from the Hospital at my bp like that so i know you are fine. But if it goes to the 40's contact ur Dr.. But thats ok. Before i would give blood they would make me walk a few laps to make my bp normal. You will be fine but monitor it. kaynbrian
