Citalapram

My doctor has mnow taken me off citalapram as the side effects were making me ill the diarrhea for 2 weeks headaches and depression seemed to be worse,so now im not being put on anything else to see if my bowels settle down as i have ibs c....

I'm sorry to hear that. How long were you on it?

Iwas on 20mg for a week and 10mg for a week...just couldnt put up with the side effects

hi prue i also had the upset stomach on citalopram which lasted one month after i started taking it, but it does go away and here i dont have an upset stomach today so i expect i am now past that startup side effect

but i appreciate you say you have ibs so i expect no doubt your doctor can help you come up with an alternative solution

Thankyou for your reply its good to hear that you are feeling better on it.....im back at the doctors next friday so i willhave to see what she comes up with,im now back to constipation it seems im in a cant win situation.
