propranolol

Hello,

My doctor has prescribed me propranolol 10mg. He suggests that I take 1 to 3 tablets, three times per day.

I have started with 1 tablet three times a day & so far I have not had any panic attacks, so I'm very happy. However, tomorrow I am going back to work & I'm worried that this dose might not be as effective.

Does anyone have any advice on dosing? Or is it just a matter of trying them out under different circumstances?

I'm also on propanalol - 3 x 40 mg per day. My GP advises this is quite a low dose but obviously believes it is correct for me. Having discovered this website yesterday, and spent a great deat of time reading the pages, messages, forums etc, I've just started using Bachs remedy, and I hope I'm not speaking too soon, but it has already been helpful. You might want to consider this as an addition to your prescribed medication. It's inexpensive and available from Tesco as well as health food shops. I've also 'googled' seratonin (the feelgood substance released by the brain), which has prompted me to ensure I am eating correctly.

The information contained in the First Steps pages on this website about coping with and treatments etc, has also proved invaluable.
