Escitalopram - 5mg

Well day 3 and it's horrible today. Had sweats and hot and cold flushes for about 3 hours on and off. Took my tablet at 7am this morning.

Want these flushes to stop but just need to push through.

Still to take day 4 meds, was sick first thing this morning, probably with nerves.

Can't keep anything down so don't want to take my tablet only for it to come back up.

Day 4 and 5 done. Day 4 was sick with nerves after a horrible day before. But from about 4pm I felt the best I have in weeks.

Day 5, no problem taking it but had a mild panic attack about 11am. Medication made me yawn alot mid afternoon and ended up with a sore jaw and tension headache.

Day 6 - feeling good. Hope this keeps up!!!!


Just find it hard to sleep any longer than 5-7 hours tops.

Dont worry i am on cipralex for 4 years.even i m scared to take medication. Mydoctor asked me to up my dosage but i take onl 5 mg for 2years nw.i also feel headache and sleepy after i take the medication.but it has helped me a lot in case of my OCD and social phobia

Still getting some side effects but this is only day 9. Mainly in the morning.

Do side effects go away eventually?

Yes. Co-worker of mine on this same medication had trouble in the mornings for about 2-3 weeks, then they subsided.

Bad day again today. Messing with my insides, general irritability.

Anyone who is worried about taking this don't. Get it in your system

I'm still not 100% but this drug has given me a big improvement in 3 weeks! Still get the odd side effect but I can manage it.
