Fluoxetine and dry skin

Hello

Have been on Fluoxetine for 11 days now. Have got through the foggy head that made me feel I was sinking, but have noticed these last couple of days 2 other things........the skin on my face, particularly my cheeks feels coarse and dry, and my pupils are dilated.

Are these common side effects please?

Yes, they are. The skin issues are generally short-lived, but you may be stuck with the dilated pupils. Mine still are after 30 years on antidepressants.

Serotonergic antidepressants can also increase skin photo-sensitivity so apply high SPF sunscreen if outdoors for extended periods.
