    alternative therapies

I've been in thought mode today.the amount of money I have spent on alternative therapies spiritual healing, acupressure, acupucture, reiki, herbalists(al l apparently had treated agoraphobics previously,I seriously dont think so!) you name it, is unreal.I'm sure for many of you its the same.I also recall the cheek of some of the therapists basically trying to me feel like I was an imbicile cos they werent"curing" me.

then I found a TFT specialist in agoraphobia etc.and for a few measly euro compared to the thousands I've spent and I'm doin great.

Bet - I understand others have called the guy you saw and he has quoted £1500 and £2000 - that doesn't sound like a few euros to me.

How much was your treatment please.

He is also scaring people saying if they don't get his help they will get worse!

    Hi Bet,

I'm happy for you that your agoraphobia is cured.

What I would like to ask you is ..... did this guy who treated you advise you to go on sites and promote him or is this something that you yourself just wanted to make others aware of?
Unfortunately there are many vunerable people on here who from reading previous threads have been made to feel very upset and scared by his responses to them and in my opinion this doesn't seem very professional. From what I am led to believe any individual can go out and take a course in these so called therapies then set up and start practising and from all accounts scare mongering!!

Like I say I am happy for you that you found a cure but just interested in finding out if this fella asked you to promote him?

    Take care,
    Pink.

I'm so glad that you have found something that helped you.
I went to doctor after doctor - on med after med - in the end the only thing that helped my agoraphobia was putting myself out there (out of my comfort zone) a little more everyday. I'm doing great too
Honestly I don't believe there is ONE way that will help everyone. Everyone has to find what works for them.

    Re: alternative therapies

no he never asked me to promote him.I'm sorry that all this has caused such a stir.I was just sharing good news I felt.perhaps I shared it in the wrong place?about him scaring people I really cant comment cos I dont know what was said, I'm not disbelieving any one.it cost a little over 2000 euros( I had literally spent thousands upon thousands on previous therapies) ,not sure what 2000 euros is in sterling.my friends sorted that for me.I have agreed to pay them once I'm back at work in a few weeks

I was sure I was sharing stuff with friends that would understand so apologies for an undue upset to anyone.its probably time for me to move on anyway

so all you beautiful people get well (in whatever way works for you,I'm seriously not advocating any therapy)

love and best wishes and all the best of luck

    bet x

No one is saying not to share what has helped you darlin!
It's just that alot of the people on here have been thru the wringer and are quite skeptical of sites and individuals that offer a cure.
I won't give my personal opinion on the cure part but I will say that if it worked for you I am so happy for ya!!!

    Bet

No-one is saying you have to leave at all. I am not saying you are promoting him either.

I was just concerned after reading two other posts by members who had contacted this guy and realised the costs etc. One was told her agoraphobia would never be cured unless he helped her which scared her somewhat.

We are all pleased you found something that helped but this is one problem on here - what works for one person may not work for another and people lose heart and faith.

Why don't you stick around and share some of how he cured you etc.
