IBS and Vagal Response

Hi!

Does anyone deal with a vagal response to their IBS sometimes? Before/during an episode of extreme bloating/gas I will occasionally feel weak in the legs, sweaty, nauseated, and the urge to have a bowel movement is increased (not urgency per se, just that it seems a nerve is being stimulated in some way if that makes sense).

I found a link that made me feel somewhat better about it but I can't post it because I don't have enough posts here. I just hate this and want it to go away.

Yes this happens to me now. It's awful. Most recently it happened in the grocery store. Thought I was going to pass out.

im glad i have found this post, i too get these symptoms except for the syncope, however the rest yes! im glad i can ease my mind some now with these weird symptoms i get and think its my heart

Yes, I don't actually faint either but have also thought it was my heart. I do feel very weak and lightheaded when it happens but so far no passing out. And it's usually only when I'm having a lot of bloating/gas/inflammation so I can be pretty confident it's related to that.
