I was thinking , as so many of us seem to beat ourselves up for being anxious and feel like we are bad mothers for being ill (as in bottleblond's post) ,
I thought maybe we should all be pointing out what good things we have done in our days ?

It doesnt have to be amazing , but just for us to see and recognise that we do make a difference to our family life in some small yet important way.

example: Today I made my kids porridge and have put their dirty clothes in the washing machine. .

This is what they made us do in our self esteem class and it does make you realise that we are worthy of love and happiness just as much as everyone else.

Hi Mirry

I think this is a great idea. I'm feeling a bit rubbish this morning so have gone on to this site from work. When I'm feeling like this I forget what I've achieved and how I've improved my feelings so I think it's a a great idea.

Okay, yesterday I went to work and did what I could, I started to feel better as the day went on. I got my son from school, went and got some shopping, came home did loads of tidying, did his tea and really had a very positive day.

Let's keep it going, I think you've got a good idea. Actually, you could add that to your achievements for today, you had a good positive idea that will help you and lots of other people.

thanks sarah , sometimes I do come on here and noitise that we never tend to do a group self help thing , and then we end up concentrating on our suffering (which i am very guilty of ).

So far I've taken the dog to the park and fed the swans and ducks, put a wash on and cleaned the kitchen.

I hung my washing out cos the sun it out , and fed the dog .

Today I've also hung washing out in the sun which makes me feel good. I've also had a session of packing up books,videos and bric-a-brac for a charity shop. This is stuff that's been hanging around for at least two years (me thinking I'd do a boot sale,ha ha) so it will be a releif to see it go and we'll get some space back. Hopefully my husband will drive me to the charity shop at lunchtime and help me in with it. This is a good thread so thanks Mirry.

well look at that sagey , thats an achievement , you got yourself organised to sort thru your house , and doesnt it feel good ?

Just think , people will buy your items and the money will go to some deserving cause to make other peoples life better in some way.

Hello all,

Mirry I think this post is a great idea.It seems that we all do feel down at times. An we tend to take it out on ourselves.

My day hasn't started yet as it's only 6;30am here, but yesterday I was having a blue day so I got up an made two batches of cookies. I tend to bake when I am blue or upset.
Notice this morning tho, the cookie monster stuck last night.LOL

I also painted some christmas decorations yesterday, my heart wasn't into it, but I stuck it out.

Today I am thinking about starting Thanksgiving cooking seeings how tomorrow is the big day here.

So hope that everybody has a great day.
