    Angry Pravastatin

    About 2 months ago my doctor started me on Pravastatin increasing dose from 10mgs to 40mgs daily. Since I have been on the 40mgs I seem to be having really bad symptoms, bouts of sweating, coughing and feeling of going to be sick, really tired and weak and not sleeping. I have health anxiety so am worried these symptoms might relate to something else and, consequently, have been suffering panic and anxiety which has caused me to loose 5lb in weight in as many days. Has anyone else any experience of statins.
    I would really appreciate any comments

    I would go to see your doctor and tell him you are having these side effects and maybe he can change you to a different statin. My husband takes a different statin to you and has never had side effects
