    Citalopram, anxiety, despair, sickness.

    Hello,

I'm wondering if you all can provide some feedback. I've started on Citalopram last Wednesday. I have a history of anxiety - I'm neurotic and given over to fixating on the past and also the contingency of the human body (I went for a blood test last week to rule out certain causes). This is the reason I went on Citalopram. But I'm finding the side-effects intense. The nausea is especially bad. I was in a meeting this afternoon, feeling this buzzing in my stomach, which then extends to a tingling in my head and a cold feeling in my limbs. There is a feeling I might vomit or faint, but it never happens. Anyway, I had to suddenly leave the room, grasping for air. My throat then seizes up and headaches follow.

My question: I don't mind the depression, it can be a source of creativity. But anxiety is a serious problem. Is it really worth holding out for a result that might never emerge?

Also: has anyone taken Motilium alongside Citalopram?

    Thanks...!

    Hello
poor you, hang on in there it is rough at first. I used to be on citalpram after 2 weeks all the nausea and dizzyness and tremours went, although it takes 4 -6 weeks to get the full benefit . I hope you get some benefit , many people have with this one.
    Take care
    Spotty socks
