meds and pregnancy

Hi everyone.When I saw my gp about getting pregnant and she told me I would have to come of my antidepressants.I would like to know if any of you ladies stayed on meds through your pregnancies.

sorry you're now offline ellen Im only online as Im having probs with my daughter (teenagers huh) Ive already posted on the panic attack forum about tonights prob, but at the moment Im staying calm(er) by wandering round the boards seeing if there is anything or anyone I can help, I had a friend who had to come off her meds for the health of her unborn baby and she found some comfort and help by trying my rescue remedy (after checking with her midwife etc first) its made from totally natural stuff and although its not maybe as strong for some as prescription drugs but it at least takes the sting out of things and is totally natural, not sure if its any good but thought it might be worth telling you about, good luck

Hello Ellen

I have recently got married and went to the docs about coming off meds so i could start a family. I was currently on 20mg seroxat and and gradually weaning off. Today is my first day on 8mg. It hasn't been easy but i am just coping - i keep telling myself why i am coming off the meds - so i can have a healthy baby.
