Norovirus without the vomiting??

Hey all.

Just wondered if anyone had heard of people getting norovirus but without the vomiting? I've been in bed (well, between bed and bathroom) since Sunday with on and off recurring diarrhoea. It's weird as there aren't any terrible stomach cramps just lots and lots of very loud gurglings and churnings and a vague feeling of nausea. Not been sick though.

I wondered if anyone knew whether norovirus etc was rife this winter and if so, whether or not you can get these bugs which only give you the runs, rather than the vomiting as well.

Sorry to be so graphic and thanks for any thoughts.

Not possible. Maybe be campylobacter or just gastric flu?

I've had plenty of stomach bugs and food poisoning before and they have never made me vomit, just cramps and very bad diarrhea. The norovirus is knowing as the winter vomiting bug so its major symptom will be vomiting. If you haven't vomited then you can pretty much be sure you didn't have that but you could have had many other bugs. Either way, the runs should pass in a day or 2.
