My neurologist sent me for a blood test, it took me a month to work up the courage, my mum waited in the waiting room while I waited outside and she came and got me when it was time to go in.
I was in the chair wanting to run as far as I could, she took the blood then I fainted, fainting is my biggest fear but it links back to the medical phobia because I am fearful of fainting because my friend fainted and had to go to hospital and I don't want to go ect.

Well done for doing it,
you won't be their only patient that has that type of phobia.
I look away when I'm having blood taken.
My mum held my face and forced me not to look, the woman I had was awful, I was half conscious, she told me to get up and go, I refused to get out of the chair because I could feel that I was going to pass out
I'm terrified of blood tests, more because I'm afraid of what they will find... yet some people take it in their stride. I guess if it weren't for the anxiety and fear, i'd be ok. Just scared they find something they cant cure!!
