    psychologist question

Hey, I know this may sound like a weird question, but do psychologists have the power to section people? like psychiatrists..
I'm starting CBT, I'm feeling better but an extra boost wouldn't help!!
and i know theres no reason for me to be sectioned but i was just wondering since that'd be one of my biggest fears, to be put in a mental hospital esp if you don't need to be there!!!

My Cognitive therapist told me before hand that everything was confidential but if it sounded like I would harm myself, or others then it would be okay if he contacted somebody else. I had to agree to this before we started.

So really, if the person you're seeing thinks you may be in danger then they have the right to call on somebody else but worse case scenario, that would I guess be a referral to a psychiatrist, rather than a call to a van to pick you up

"I forget, which one of us doesn’t like fish?"
