Full of cold, how long???

I started with a cold 6 days ago, blocked nose, full ears and head, no pain at all and my main symptom was very bad pressure in the ears, which made me feel off balance a tad.

When driving my ears fill up worse, it is like when on a plane and you feel they need to pop, but in my case they never pop. I am still snotty, but it is clear, no fever etc.... my main issue is the congestion. Will this clear in time or will I need to take something? I don't get on well with decongestants, but I am using a steroid nasal spray for a polyp that i have had for ages.

My sons have both had this cold, my eldest was hit by it quite badly bless him.

I would try a steam inhalation, I always suffer the same with a cold :( Get well soon xx

Get some menthol crystals from the chemist to put in. you will only need a couple in the water as they are very strong! My cats run from the room when I use them

If it's any consolation, I caught a bad cold on January 1st this year. It was actually about the 2nd February before all the after-effects of it had gone, so unfortunately at this time of year they can last a long time!
