    IBS stomach issues

Is it possible to have IBS AND SENSITIVE STOMACH TOGETHER? I’m asking because when I read up on it, it seems to state that you have one or the other & I have both. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Not sure what you mean by IBS and a sensitive stomach - surely they are all related.

    Can you explain more.

I deleted your other post as it was a duplicate of this one.

    Re: IBS stomach issues

By sensitive I mean GI symptoms such as gurgling, churning, awful pressure in abdomen or under ribs, gas like discomfort but none of it is actually pain. It is distress but not what I would call outright pain. My stomach had always been very sensitive since childhood but I discovered I had ibs type d also at age 30 because I started having very loose bm’s about 10 times a day with nearly incessant need to run to a bathroom. Also by sensitive I mean that if I eat the wrong food which can happen very easily it triggers symptoms. It’s similar with beverages such as coffee or tea, I can drink decaf tea & not the herbal flavored ones, just regular decaf tea & must be with nonfat milk to defuse acidity, NO coffee including decaf, very rarely can I drink soda or juices, I can drink water though. So this was the best description I could give. If I check symptoms online, it seems to imply that you either have sensitive stomach or ibs but I have both & I’m wondering if ibs ppl have sensitive stomach AND vice versa. Thank You.

All of those symptoms sound exactly like ibs. I’ve had a sensitive stomach since I was a child and I suffer with bowel problems along side it but everything you’ve described sounds completely normal for people with ibs.

Thank You for your response but what I’m asking is if there are people with sensitive stomach without having ibs. In other words, can ibs & sensitive stomach be two separate issues bec I stated in my post I had a sensitive stomach many years before I had ibs? Can a sensitive stomach lead to ibs?
