This morning frightened me.

Hi, this morning I was walking into the kitchen when I came over all dizzy and lost my balance. I was bumping into walls and the fridge and had to grab a chair and sit down. This only lasted for about 10 seconds but it really frightened me as I have never had that happen before. I am 2 weeks into my new medication, Paroxetine, after coming off Mertazapine just before Christmas.

I rang the surgery and spoke to an Urgent Care Nurse, who said it was nothing to worry about as I didn't have any other symptoms, and this sort of thing can happen as a 'one off'.

What do you guys think, I could do with some advice. Thanks.

Hey Ruuger tbh we aren't medically trained and you are only 2 weeks in to your new meds give them time to start working properly So I would go along with the UCN who knows more than any of us, so if it's reassurance you are after then yes you will be fine and it's nothing serious to worry about HTH ATB

I had the same thing happen to me and I am two weeks into taking Duloxetine. My dizziness is getting better. I had terrible vertigo the first week or so. Your body should adjust.
