Fluoxetine....

Hi everybody....


i been taking Fluoxetine (Prozac) for 2 days now, and i was wondering if its normal to feel anxiety and short of breath my chest even feels real tight it feels like its about to cut my air, i guess you can say it feels like im going to have an attack. Did anybody had this experience befor?
If so can you please tell me if this is normal? and if its going to go away?
Should i keep on taking it?

P.S. By the way im taking 20mg, im sopposed to take it for 7 days, and then increase it to 40mg a day.

I started taking the same medication 2 weeks ago. the first week for me was really tough and made all the symptoms worse. my second week has been great only had today feeling slightly panicy but this was due to being overtired.

I have been on the same medication for 2 weeks now, the first week i felt awful, worse than i was. More tight chest, nervous, more anxiety etc.

But that only lasted the first week since then i have seen a great inprovement in myself.

yeah stick with it,it takes 2 weeks to work..i have been on it for about a year and it seemed to work for me

Hi Liz, as Tony says can take 2weeks to kick in, have known it to take longer but stick with it can make such a difference.

Thank you guy's so much, i feel more confident taking this medication.

I just want it to say how much i appreciate you guy's. Ever since im on this site i seen some approvements in me i thought i was'nt going to see for quiet some time. Lot's of love Lisa.

P.S. one more question about this med.

Ever since i started taking them, my vision is gettin kinda bad, its not really blurry but its kinda dim and doubly...lol.....did anybody experience this kind of symptom? If so can you please reach out to me and let me know how you handle it. Much love Lisa!!!!

Today is week 3 for me and I still feel extra anxiety and panic and yes that dim vision like if someone is turning off the lights..weird..hope it gets better with time.
