Smear test

Getting very anxious. Had smear test 2 weeks ago and still no results.
In the past I've not really worried so much but my anxiety is through the roof lately.
I have had treatment for abnormal cells that was 20 odd years ago, I'm convinced that my smear is not going to be clear and that's why Its taking this long.
How long have others waited?

Hi I had mine done nearly 7 weeks ago and haven't had the results through the post yet. I spoke to my dr today who said she only got my results a couple of days ago. I was told 4-6 weeks is normal

Wow that's awful. Hope I don't have to wait that long as I just can't concentrate on anything and feel so on edge.
I vaguely remember the nurse mentioning 2-3 weeks wait.

I was going to reply to let you know it can take a while. I had a smear test done on Feb. 8th and it was near a month before I got the results.
