Hi everyone. I'll try to keep this one short as I don't want to bang on too much like usual!
I'm so fed up with my palpitations. I'm 19 in a few days, and I've been getting palps for about three years now. Sometimes, they are nearly constant everyday - I mean a few a minute. Sometimes I may go a day or two without them, but this is rare. They are 10x worse at night and I have a lot of trouble sleeping because of it. Sometimes they're just a flutter, sometimes it's a strong thud, sometimes they actually hurt, and they are often when I am moving around/exercising, or I can just be laying in bed. I get chest pains, pains which radiate down my arm and into my chin too (these do tend to worry me to quite an extent) #
I've had three ECG's in all this time, one the other day - all which came back fine. I also had an echocardiogram and several blood tests which all came back fine too. Propranolol seems to make me faint for some reason so that's out of the question. I tried Fluoxetine, but by the fourth day I was very ill with stomach problems (I do have a stomach ulcer as it is so I didn't want to carry on taking them and risk making this worse)
I don't know what to do anymore :( I wish I was like most people my age, going out, drinking, exercising, etc, but I physically can't do it. These palps get in the way of everything as they're there most of the time! I can deal with some, but it's the extent to which I get them. Even when I'm not anxious :( no amount of deep breathing, relaxing, cutting out caffeine, etc etc seems to work.
Anyone have any advice? :/
