Hi everybody!

I’m new to this forum and found out about it during a Google search. I’m happy to find a place where my anxiety symptoms are not unique and know that others are experiencing the same things I am.

To my symptom: when I lay down on my left side or even tilt my head to the left to a certain degree I can easily feel a blood vein right underneath my skin which worries me as I’ve never noticed it before. I can feel it pulsating lightly when I feel it with my fingers. It makes me so afraid of laying down on my side that I don’t dare fall asleep unless I’m facing the opposite direction because my irrational mind keeps thinking that I’ll somehow pinch it during my sleep and cause me to stroke or something. This does not happen when I lay down on my right side.

I went to see a doctor already and he assures me that it’s normal to feel a blood vein, but I still feel like I’m going to die one day because of this if I lay down and fall asleep on the wrong side.

Anybody else have a similar experience? If so, how are you coping with it?
