got my food intolerance test results

Dont know if you remember I paid for a private blood test to check for food intolerances, due to feeling panicky/anxious/dizzy/tired/skin problems and constipation [:I]

Got my results back and I have a very high reaction to yeast !
Apparently this is different to the candida problem people can have where they have a overload in their gut .
my antibodies were very high to it.

So now I have to follow a yeast free diet for 3 months then hopefully will be able to introduce a little (but only a little).

Now im feeling overwhelemed, yeast is in so much......
    no more , cheese/vinegar/sauces /gravy/bread/sugars [V]

any tips or help much appreciated and I will let you know if it helps,

looking back I did follow the candida diet for nearly 3 weeks last year, but I been told it needs to be for 3 months.

    Hi space cadet,

I know its not a nice diet to follow but I dont have an over growth of candida, I have a intolerance to yeast like people have an intolerance to milk. So I have to avoid eating yeast products and as far as I know I can eat sugar cos it is not yeast.

But the candida diet says sugar helps yeast grow so Im very confused .?

I could do with loosing weight and went to tescos with hubby today and got tourtillas, they have no yeast. What sort of foods have you been eating ?

When i think about it, 3 months is along time to go without yeast,
will go checkout your link, thanks

Hi Mirry I saw a nutritionist, and found I had to go on a yeast free diet, and like spacecadet said its bloody hard to follow. You feel crap at the beginning.I did it for three months, strictly and then started going back on certain things.I had alot more energy after and lost a stone in wieght.
You cant have bread,so I used to have soda bread. The good thing is After nearly two years I still dont have tea or coffee.
Holland and barrets do alot of things you can have.
Good luck pet its really hard going.

Ellen, why cant you have tea or coffee ?
I am awaiting a diet list in the post that they are advising me to follow,
I did the candida diet once yet didnt follow it 100% cos I didnt know gravy had yeast in it.

Did you think the yeast free diet helped anxeity?

Ive found a great site that I registered with, it shows you a complete list of foods and how they can effect you if you are intollerant to them,
yeast had all the symptoms that I have.
    very interesting .

    hi mirry,
sorry ive got no advice for you, i just wanted to post to let you know i feel for you, im on a lactose free diet for a few months at the minute.:( missing my ice cream, chocolate, cheese, yoghurt etc. everything i crave and practically live on usually.
being on diets is hard at first, but it gets easier once you get into a routine with it.
