For those of you who sneezed and it felt like your uterus and ovaries exploded.

I had an unnerving experience a few days ago, I sneezed hard while sitting down and for about 20 seconds it felt like my ovaries and uterus exploded or popped or something along those lines. It hurt, it felt like I was having a full blown contraction of some sort, I am not pregnant.

Then I felt weird after it, not like I pulled a muscle just different. In my great wisdom I googled it and thought I suffered a prolapse.

I phoned the gp, who actually laughed at my predicament, you don't laugh at someone who thinks they sneezed their organs out of their vagina. I asked for a female gp to have a look and got an appointment made for the next day last week. She did a pelvic exam and opened me up to look inside, everything was fine.

So if you ever coughed or sneezed and had really intense ovary pain or uterus pain or both, your probably okay.

Just thought I'd make this for any woman who has had the same experience to help ease your anxiety about it, I'm not a doctor though and everyone is different so if your unsure get checked anyway but there you go. No explosions. Thank god.

I have experienced this twice! First time i experienced it was just before my period when i felt cramping.

Second time was just after my c section and i thought my lung fell out along with my uterus!
