Scared!!!!! Pins & needles & numbness in left hand!

I am terrified!!

Didnt have much sleep last night and I woke up with pins and needles and a slight numbness in my left hand, i have never had this before and I am terrified!! I keep thinking stroke or heart or all sorts could be wrong with me!!

I have been awake for a few hours now and this is constant, sometimes I get a similar thing if I fell asleep on my arm etc but that passes really quickly so it cant be that!

I am really scared, my arm is started to ache now and I just dont know what to do!

I have had anxiety for years and my anxiety isnt too bad at the moment so I dont think its related, I am very worried!

I have just been googling and I think I know what might be causing this! I have been taking high levels of vitamin b6 to help with hair growth and a side effect with high doses is numbness etc. I am very scared now, what should I do? Will this go away or do I need to see a doctor? I didnt actually take the vitamins today because when I woke up with this I thought it best not to take anything!
I am also taking high doses of vitamin b5 to help with anxiety and I read about someone dying from mixing these two vitamins b5 and b6, I am very scared!! What do I do?

Have a look at my reply on TashBarnes87 post just now. Hers was about MS, but some of my symptoms were similar to yours.

Also when I was having numbness, the doctor did mention it could be caused by vitamin B6 (can't remember if it was too much or too little), and he didn't seem too concerned about that.

Did your GP prescribe the B6 and / or B5?

Since you are so anxious, I would say a trip to the GP might be in order to check that your dosages are ok, and to check out the numbness in your hands. Like I said in my other reply, that's really unlikely to be anything serious.
