    NAUSEA - and reducing it

Some of us suffer from nausea with our anxiety. [xx(]

As Meg very rightly pointed out, sitting around and thinking about it only makes things ten times worse. [^] But if you feel sick, it's sometimes hard to get ups and do things.

I have found the following things can dispel the nausea so I can "get up and go", and start to feel better.

    1. Motilium 10 - available over the counter, relieves nausea and bloating
    2. Charcoal tablets - available from the health food shop. These relieve nausea, dispepsia, heart burn, diarrohea. (BEWARE - these can make your pooh black the next day, so if you do take them, please don't think you've suddenly developed bowel cancer when you next pay a visit!)
    3. Nibbling a biscuit (particularly if you're hungry and nauseaous at the same time) Cream crackers, digestives, ginger nuts and the new digestives with lemon and ginger are very good.
    4. Antacid tablets or liquid
    5. Peppermint tea and ginger tea
    6. Avoid fried and fatty foods
    7. Stop or reduce smoking
    8. And of course - eat healthily, regularly, little and often and drink plenty of water.

Hope this helps some of you!

    Thanks Charlie

I always drink milk - for me it cures a multitude of stomach problems and helps when I feel sick. I am told that it shouldn't really help that much but I swear by it and it works for me :-)

I really think it's a case of what works bets for you! (I'm sure some of my cures are mental and have no scientific fact)

I'll believe you on the milk though Nicola - I know it's supposed to line your stomach, but it actually makes me feel sick thinking about drinking it, so will give that one a miss!!!!

    Urghhh - Marvel

You deserve to feel sick!!!! It's as bad as my mum keeping UHT for emergencies.

I can't think of any situation bad enough where I'd contemplate drinking UHT. Or Marvel for that matter.

A friend of mine swears by root ginger, chopped finely in hot water. Not helped me much but each to his own.

LOL - i take it you don't like milk then?

I could drink it all day - not good for my diet but I do have to drink 3/4 pint a day as part of my diet so I am happy :-)

I carry around a bottle of water, to take sips if I feel sick. Also, polo mints really seem to help. I concentrate on things like fesh air, and breezes, and iceburgs and things that do not make me feel sick.
