Blood pressure question

So I’m on meds now for high blood pressure and I’m just taking 1/2 of the pill since it’s been under 140/90. My pressure today has me confused I relaxed for around 10 minutes and took it and it was 109/67. Idk if there was a mess up because it stopped beeping for a minute. Then I retook it 5 minutes later and it was 123/74 :/ but I was talking right before I took it. Why was it higher the second time I took it? And is 123/74 a good place for blood pressure?
