YES, and no worries. I had a bad bout of this last year. Scared myself into believing I had some sort of ovarian or colon cancer. We were searching for a house to buy and trying not to pay rent and a mortgage at the same time, so it was stressful. It took a few months to completely go away, but it did. Now it only flares up if I’m stressed out.

Has anyone else suffered with hip and back pain with IBS as a result of their anxiety. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

I have had the most awful left hip pain for about three years and I’m currently under investigation for IBD and because bowel issues have flared up, I’ve now got pain in the left too! I’ve read that aches in the joints are completely normal abut I also know if you focus on the pain and get anxious about it then your body tricks you into thinking it’s there anyway.
