I'm on 150 mg now, and I feel like I've adjusted to the lower dose. I feel less jittery and nervous, and I was even able to control my panic for the past 2 days even though they were really challenging.

I’ve been taking venlafaxine xr for 2 months , just now increasing dose from 150mg to 225mg. 2 days on 225 and yes , feeling the uneasiness starting up again. If I don’t get benefits after 4weeks I’ll drop back down to 150mg. It’s the increase in norenepherine, I can tell because my pupils are dilated to the max!
This is a really good drug for many, I’ve taken it before for 3 years. side effects are well documented and scary withdrawal when you stop it.
Good luck to all..
Thanks, Albrant! Yes, do lower the dose back down if you still feel an increased anxiety after 4 or 6 weeks.
Since my last post in this thread, I've had some panic attacks, but overall, I feel like the lower dose is right for me.
Is Effexor similar to Cymbalta? I know it's in the same family, but wondering if it's the same. Cymbalta isn't helping me much right now. i'm on 30MG. I tried Effexor for two weeks and couldn't take the heart palpitations. I wonder if it would have settled down. I may try that again if this doesn't work out. Thoughts?
