It doesn't necessarily need to be a bad childhood. Life can be very tough nowadays without majorly messed up parts. I believe there's no way we can be alive and not have any problems. It sounds like anticipation of a traumatic experience which is enough to cause anxiety.

DPDR is often caused by relationship trauma, as it was in me. I believe divorce could have kind of triggered it.

The events you describe sound like trauma especially the divorce. But DP can happen even without a significant traumatic event. It's a part of anxiety. Sometimes things just pile on & catch up to you like they did for me.

Yah my psychiatrist said it's a part of anxiety too, she said it will go away do you think it will?
