    Trapped wind in shoulder/back??

I suffer with IBS and have been having a particularly nasty time of it at the moment with pains in stomach/bloating and acid reflux. My GP has put me on omsoprozole and rantitidine for the acid and I take colofac for the IBS.

My 'new' symptom that I have been suffering with the last few days is pain over my entire ledt shoulder/blade. If my boyfriend rubs it I burp and I was wondering if it was trapped wind from my IBS. Can you get trapped wind in your shoulder? Sometimes it feels muscular, but then it feels too internal and related to the pain I have been having in my stomach sack.

Anyone had this or have any useful info??

    Thanks M x

Yes my ex used to get trapped wind & his shoulder would bear the brunt of it for some reason! It hapened quite a lot for him. He used to get on all fours & dip his head down, sounds crazy but it made him burp lol, but it took a good few of those before the pain went. Sorry to say it sometimes lasted a few days if he was unlucky!
