    Phantom water drops?

Seeing the post on feeling like someone is touching one's head made me think of something that happens to me every once in a while that realy freaks me out! I will be just standing somewhere and it will feel like a very cold drop of water landed on my upper shoulders behind my head. Usually in the same place. The first time it happend was about four years ago and inside a mega supermarket. I felt the "drop" and looked up and walking past me was a creepy looking woman. I thought she had thrown some drug or chemical at me... it is amazing what my very fertil and scared imagination can come up with. Then I thought it was maybee a drip from some overhead pipe. Just the other day I felt it while siting in a church pew and my son was sitting behind me. Anyone else get these "phantom" water drops?
    God bless you and yours

I can't say I have ever heard of that one.
Well not since we had the kitchen roof fixed - lol.

But seriously, It could be beads of sweat.
In the same way our hair moves, and we feel we are being touched by an unseen hand. Then I see no reason why beads of sweat can't make us feel we are being wet from time to time.

NO I GET THIS TOO! I had never really thought of it as anxiety though. I get it on my legs - think something is dripping down them ([:I])

No seriously, I get this too sometimes, usually on my head or shoulders.
Im not sure its an anxiety symptom tho, just a normal body thing..maybe as Liz says..just a bead of sweat that is moving the hairs.

OK. Here is my situation and it seems everyone else it happens to has a logical explanation, as in its raining or seeing water drip somewhere. In my case, its not raining, its no where near warm enough to sweat, and no part of my body is broken. Every now and then one random water drop will land on my right bicep. Like I said, no rain, no leaks, no broken limbs to suggest sensations. It is a physical water drop. I can wipe it away, and all that jazz. Afterwards there is a slight burning sensation where it landed for about 30 seconds. I actually can't tell how long it has been happening, I dont remember. Oh and its not anxiety. Im not an anxious person.

Well...this is an anxiety forum, we can't really help you in that respect if you know it's not anxiety
I myself cannot think of a rational reason why a drop of water randomly drops on your leg unless maybe you are in the same place when this happens and you have a leaky ceiling. If it's not actually a drop of water and just the sensation, well I get similar things to that sometimes, like I feel like there is a hair accross my face when there clearly isn't.
    Best of luck.

Had this for years,,,been investigated by four specialist. Neurologist says its nerves misfiring and although not common it happens..has nothing to do with anxiety.. just your body and random feelings..not to worry ..really. ok?
