Crud, now my health anxiety is peaking again. I'm waiting for an endoscopy from my GP but it could take months to go through. At the same time, I'm getting worse and worse symptoms and my medication "Lansoprazole" is doing virtually nothing to get rid of them. I match everything to do with throat/esophageal cancers from tight throats, trouble swallowing (even saliva gets stuck in my throat!) and lost weight to post nasal drip causing me to cough. I even have a persistent sore throat I just can't get rid of, even with throat sweets.

Cancer runs in the family, so I'm utterly petrified I'm next in line, and that I'll get the one that is difficult, near-impossible to cure once doctors actually notice it. What can I do? I've had a lot of these symptoms for years, so what are the odds I've suddenly developed a cancer because I didn't notice anything until now?
