    New pills - Cipralex

I've been put on cipralex by my doctor. He says this will be better than my old pills, citalopram, because there are less side effects. However, I think my doctor just wanted me out of his office.

I came off of citalopram after 9 days because I wasn't living, I was spending every day in bed, feeling numb like a zombie. Is cipralex any better? What are the side effects like? I've read other posts and other sites, but they don't seem to tell me much...

    Thankoo

I, too, have just been put on these exact tablets but have yet to actually start them! I am on 10mg to start but am worried about that as so many people have been copmplaining about the bad side effects they suffer and the fact that for a while their anxiety intensifies.I dont know if I will be able to be strong enough to stick it out! Will keep you updated as to how it goes - be interested to hear your views too!

Hi there,Im on citalopram, when I started them they gave me terrible side affects for two weeks.I felt like I was dying. After the two weeks everything settled down.I think you get this with most new meds and you have to let them settle in,your body has to adjust to them.
    take care

    G'day Locked
I've been on Cipralex 10mg/day for over a year and they're great after the initial couple of weeks

Could you tell me more about the difference they made to the way you felt after the initial side effects had calmed down please? Be very grateful...

It's made me pretty much "normal"
I have a full time job and don't have panic attacks.
I sometimes get a little tense but no more than anyone else in a stressful job would
