I think they promote awareness amongst people, which is a good thing

I have got the Beat Bullying band. I wear this all the time as bullying is the one thing that makes my blood boil.

However, I do think that a lot of young people wear them merely as a fashion statement. My daughter has about 20 of them!

If only one person wearing one band highlights the cause that it is promoting, then they are well worth having.

I've not bought any as I find a lot of the causes they are for are advertised widely.

The one I've not seen is for mental illnesses/depression/anxieties, personally I think the charities surrounding these aren't as well known about as others.

I'd wear one with pride if Mind or something did one.

Cool, I think I'll try and get one of those. Everyone at work has the anti bullying, anti racism, anti poverty etc ones but these are things you read and hear about daily.

Is it me or does the media portray people like us to be bad people who should be locked up in a mental ward 24 hours a day?

You can get them on e bay, OCD UK have there own selling section on there.

It's the age old stigma of mental health I reckon.
