You need to break the fear of fear cycle you've got into.
Trying to stop a panic attack will only make it worse and more likely to happen. It sets off adrenaline, which increases the symptoms, which makes you panic, which sets off more adrenaline...you get the picture.

Try not to fight it. Fear hits hardest when it first hits, so sit tight, let it wash over you and it will pass quicker.
Remind yourself they are only physical symptoms, not harmful or dangerous.

    Hey Toetsie,
what chickpea says is right. Its your fear of how youre feeling thats sutaining the panic, let yourself feel the panic, let your heart palpitate, let your stomach churn and go with it, let your body sag and take deep breaths and let the panic sweep over you!
It has never and never will hurt you!
    Best,
    Jon
