I don't know what sedation they gave me as it had no effect at all! I knew everything that was happening and I was in a lot of pain. They had to give me gas and air and even with that it was painful. The last time I had it I didn't feel a thing.
The result... I have Sigmoid colon diverticulosis and ibs :(
I have just had my first meal in 48 hours and it was delicious

Sorry Elen I have just noticed your reply. As well as the above I also have intussusseption in my bowel and I have to go for a scan on 23rd March.

If that's the case, while it certainly isn't pleasant, it's very treatable and can be resolved with a simple procedure
