    Apixaban

    Hi , my 82 year old mother is bed bound in hospital and is suffering with delirium which consequently means that she vulnerable to clots The Dr did put her on warafin but her InR is high at 5.3 . They have now recommended Apixaban which I'm very concerned about as it does come with a lot of side effects
    Can anyone give me any advice please ? Apparently Warafin is going to be phased out for this new drug
