step 1.....This fixed it for me but not for others, if it doesn't for you please can you post saying what happens for you.
Update Java from the Java website and not the download link that pops up on your computer, that one has been saying "download failed" for most people.

Something called Realchat came up, but I did not click on to anything because I do not know if was for NMP. I could get on it earlier but since clicking to the link it has gone again. I will keep trying
Magic
I had to go and download it from java site as the link that comes up from chat kept me going round in circles of not verifying. but got there in the end.
I have taken Java off and will download again another day. see what happens
Magic
Realchat is the chat room Magic

This is the sole reason that I wont have it on my computer
It's a very unstable program and not at all reliable
It is not that java is unstable and not reliable.
Let me explain:
The problem is that we would have to pay to get a publisher's certificate for java and then it would not keep saying that NMP was unsafe.
NMP is safe but we don't have the official certificate as we don't have to have one and can't afford it basically.
So we just work round the problem by adding NMP as a safe site.
Hope that helps

Don't get me wrong Nic, I trust the NMP website completely, but I do not trust Java, if you have a look on any computer techie site, you will only ever read bad things said about Java and how unsafe it is.
No matter how many times they update it, it's still never going to be right.
I don't need Java for anything at all, in fact, most people will not have to use it as there are now much better programs.
Every time I've installed it on my computer, my computer went berserk! So I asked on a computer techie site for some advice, and the only advice that I got was to uninstall it and keep it off of my computer.
