hi ash, poor thing, how vile is that?i always call them palpitations,is what you get different it sounds the same?It is of course strees and as we overbreath we gulp down air wich bubbles about and we think our heart is playing up,it isn't of course,i know this sounds daft but have a glass of 'andrews'and see if you can burp, works 4 me!!Aso u could cool yorself down to slow your heart rate, plunge hands and arms into cold water 4 ten second intervals, this also helps general panic sympoms.God bless.Mary-Rose.xxxxxxxxxxx

    Ash

Have you seen the doctor atall about it as sometimes just a reassuring chat with a professional can ease our worries.

They won't harm you but won't go away whilst you concentrate on them and wait for them to happen.

Try to distract yourself whilst you are having them and keep busy.

i Havnt really spoke to the doctor about them as i have only started getting them in the last 6 days ya see, after a month of 24-7 anxiety they just appeared.. had every other symptom with anxiety but not this one.
What do i say to the doctor ? he will just say its anxiety no doubt, which of course hope that it is.. but i have never had this eptopic beat thing, a palp , whatever it maybe..and my heart dosnt have to race with it, my pulse rate could be slow or fast ... so theres no particular pattern, it make sits own descions.
I know that thinking about it will make it worse nic,you are so right, chatting of it i shall have one in a min.
I want them to stop so bad, im obsessed with it- and this morning i had bad pains in my chest and my breathing was differcult.

    how lovley huh.

    Hello sexy marcia

, i am so trying to think they cant hurt me...and i kinda convince myself and feel good that i say that to myself... thinking thats it ..they wont come back and then all of a sudden BANG one comes along again- my consience really knows how much they really bother me,well can you imagine i have never had themin my life until 6/7 days ago, they keep going on all day, sometimes more or less after each other.
Boy marcia you will get bored of meyou and jack...hi jack ...love ya bot.

Ive kept on so much that the doctor is sending me to a specialist,,,im scared now he has suggested that(cant win in ya mind can ya) but i

think its because i have drove them crazy at the surgery haha,,,, ohhhh bloddy hell aye, its embarrssing isnt it, but hay when it comes to my health concerns hay i dont care ,,,i will force meself down there.

When i have been to A and E in the past i have never said about my anxiety until after the examination otherwise they diagnose you then and there, how many other people have done that,im sure imnot the only one.

Quite honest im having a right ruff time of it, its awful and im scared.

Hi Ash, I know you associate the ectopics with irregular heart rythmn, & irregular heart rythmn does exist hun, but it plays tricks on your mind so you sit there & notice every irregular beat, every missed beat, every beat in your throat until it becomes an obssession. I have an obssession with checking my pulse because of all these beats & pains. They are worse when you relax because you have more time to think about them & notice them. Ash, they are more common than you think mate. Also, our heart beats at different levels when we experience different levels of anxiety, which could be up to 50 times a minute because we get scared so our heart races, then it calms down, then we think its something else so it races again, & never is at an even keel unless we are asleep. I agree with the fizzy drink theory whether it be something like Andrews or even lemonade or something like that. It certainly helps me.

I hope you can find worsds of reassurance Ash, it really is quite a common symptom, but one of the most worrying with it being our heart.

    Les.
