    reducing from 40mg to 20mg

    Hi
I have been on 40mg of Fluoxetine for 2/3 months and have been feeling really rough. I have decided to reduce to 20mg and I think I am feeling a bit better. Has anyone else reduced and what has been their experience?

    Hi Stefee,
I took 40mg for a month and felt worse - side effects including sweating, insomnia, increased anxiety, palpitations and depression. Within 5 days of reducing down to 20mg I felt significantly better and continued to improve. More Prozac does not always = less anxiety/depression. I hope you experience the same improvement I did x
