Rhodiola Rosea

Has anyone here tried Rhodiola? I've heard some good stories about it online. Apparently it raises serotonin and dopamine levels. I purchased some from Holland and Barrett two days ago and it seems to have energised me somewhat (it has made me slightly more anxious though, but its bearable). I've been taking 500mg, maybe 250 may be better?

I'm currently on a low dose (5mg) of citalopram - I decided to try Rhodiola mainly because of its actions on dopamine. I'm happy to take it with an SSRI based on other stories I've read online, plus I'm on such a low dose of citalopram anyway.

Has anyone taken it for a considerable length of time, and did it work?

I feel a bit more anxious today, though I think its because of the strong coffee I had last night. I'm going to keep taking Rhodiola but at 250mg/day, and stay off the stims.

Caffeine has a lot to answer for doesn't it?
