side effects or common cold?

hi everyone ,
just wanted to know if anyone has ever suffered cold/flu like symptons as a side effect of citalopram, been on them 16days now and the se seemed to have calmed down a little , then i got this cold about 3 days ago which is making me feel crappy again, so just wondering if i can blame the cit or some random germ

Hi, come to think about it I had a cold when starting cit as well, maybe a side effect, dont know could be though!! xxxx Hope your ok!!

Hiya Liz,

There's a bug doing the rounds and I've had the pleasure of catching it- boo! Had it for a week and it's finally clearing off, know loads of people that's had it so reckon that's what you might have. On a better note I'm on day 50 of 20mg Citalopram and feeling a lot better not 100% but not far off at all so stick it out it's worth the initial pain of SE's.

thanx guys ,still feeling rubbish but at least the cold seems to have overtaken the cit se , so hopefully when its gone things may look up abit
