Hi all
Does anyone know if it's ok to take magnesium when taking citalopram?
I know this helps with sleep and other things but don't want it to interact
Thanks

Its fine, I take magnesium on and off, and i'm on 30Mg citalopram. Hope that helps.
Great, I used to take mag taurate but the taurin I know can interact with the cit.
As I suffer ibs what is best form to take?
I'd recommend chelated magnesium (I get the 'doctors best' brand off of amazon), I've tried citrate which was horrible to my stomach! Good luck.
Taurate is chelated. Chelated refers to being bound to an amino acid. You will have to check which amino acid you take is taurine interacts as some of the others are related to neurotransmitters.
Which form did you take Mark?
It might be worth considering transdermal as it bypasses the digestive tract altogether as its absorbed through the skin. Just be aware that if there is a magnesium deficiency where you spray it, it will sting which is how you know there is a deficiency in that area. I saw advice on spraying it on your feet to avoid this.
You can also get bath soak versions such as the flakes.
