    Palpitations after bending over

I have had this happen around 4 times in the last few months. I would bend over then when I stand up I get a fluttery feeling with a rapid heartbeat and shortness of breath which lasts a few minutes. Usually if I have a glass of cold water it settles again. Its quite scary even though it is most likely harmless. I think I'm reasonably fit as I exercise sometimes. Does not help my anxiety :( Does anyone else get this ? Maybe I should get it checked out.

Hiya, Yeah i get this a lot, can somtimes just be when im sitting, it does feel scary but it is harmelss.

My heart beat was really fast too, i spoke to my doc about it and he was 99% sure it was anxiety, but i had a chest x-ray and ecg done and it was all fine. He has put me on beta blockers which have virtualy eliminated the fluttering and helps control the acing heart.

A lot of it is about acceping it is anxiety. Hope you feel a bit better soon xx

We were talking about this very thing this morning on LJ's thread.

    Piglet xxx

"Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?" said Piglet.
"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.

    Hi Piglet,

I just went to my post, found the correct page and then copied and pasted the URL (page address) from the top of the page in the address bar.
Mmm I hope that makes sense.

    Simms

Also read the palipations article on the homepages. I'm sure this is included there and also Annie the Pooh had a long thread on this if I remember correctly

It's maybe in this lot but essentially its to do with stimulation of the vagus and is non harmful.

Your anxiety is the human representation of the pictures that you paint using your many vivid colours of revolving and reoccurring thoughts.
