Well it is a little high but then it could be white coat syndrome - mine was 163/93 when I was recently in hospital and it is fine at home.
If it is consistently high then they may suggest medication.

Had my BP taken month ago .. GP allowed for anxiety of having the pressure taken "white coat hypertension". Also before a perfect BP rate was set within the last 10 years most GP;s used as the top number 100 plus your age..
Hi, my dr told me it should be 100 plus your age for the top number and 90 or below for the bottom number, but if your like me and have health anxiety your blood pressure goes up when you are going to see the doc because your anxious ????? Hope this helps..
It used to be 100+ your age but they changed it - like they do!
Now it should be 120/80 to be perfect

Hey,
140/90 is considered the max for normal blood pressure so your fine, you have a high normal, I get your bp reading sometimes but readings fluctuate depending on your surroundings etc. So don't do your head in.
Best of luck
Thanks all
