Most certainly not alone jackie.

My chest can feel sore to the touch like that too.

Have you had a good read of Megs page on this and any of our previous posts on palpitations.

Have a look on the info page.

Love Piglet xx

"Supposing a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?" said Piglet.
"Supposing it didn't," said Pooh after careful thought.

Hi Jackie...
I would imagine it's sore to the touch because your muscles are really tense and tired. I get rapid heartbeat at times too and a feeling that there is a knot in my chest... right in the breast area.
Hope you feel better!

Hey jackie, i've been getting pains in the left side and the centre of my chest and sometimes palpiations as well, my heart rate is quite fast most of the time too. i went to the docs about it and he said my heart is fine and that i am just more aware of palpiations etc than most people because of my state of mind atm. I think the pains are muscular because when i get them i check my pulse and its normal. I also feel as though my lungs are either not getting enough air or aren't deflating properly. These are all symptoms of anxiety so i don't think we have anything to worry about!

ross i hope you are right.

its the change that gets me. if i have a pain ive felt b4 i can live with it, but when new things come after 4 years and a belief that i should have seen it all by now is shattered ,then i panic.

apart from that im just dandy.lol

Jackie have you read the article on this site on egtopic heartbeats its just brilliant, culdnt believe my eyes when i read it i was never sure if the heart beat caused the panic or the panic caused the heart beat, have had every monitor know to man strapped to me to find out wat was causin it and of course always came back the same nuthin on it.. if im at home when it happens now i splash freezin cold water on my face and it shocks the heart back into a normal rythm i got to the stage id lay awake all nite feelin my pulse waitin for my heart to stop altogether i still get a kick in the chest now and then but at least now the panic only lasts mins cos i tell myself its not a heart attack just stress
