Decongestant & Propranolol

Hi i tried coming off propranolol this week was only on 10mg twice a day went down to one in 2 halfs then just half and now not had any for 2 days but feel really shaky and lightheaded today i have been feeling iffy with cold like symptoms for 2 days so ive just taken some lempsip max all in one liquid decongestant and it says talk to doctor before taking propranolol with it. Im feeling quite anxious and maybe a propranolol will calm me abit so im wandering do you think it would be ok to take one. Just 10mg after the lemsip?

hi i take the same dosage as you' and only when i need it for axiety and palpatations and i am sure its non addictive, u should not mix any type of drug together, without seeing your gp or chemist, do u know you can,t take propranolol if you have ashma

Yeah...I agree, Propranolol is contraindicated to those having asthma.

And the effect of decongestant ( beta agonist) taken with Propranolol ( beta antagonist) will just cancel out the effect of the decongestant.

Your doc is the one whom you should seek advice from
