Hi April,

I get bad hayfever and I get asthma too. The last couple of days my hayfever has started, my normal symptoms are sniffy/runny nose, occasional sneezing and the one that drives me mad is itchy eyes, they go all red and I want to scratch them out they itch so much. I am really wheezy too, although I've had that most of the winter and it's not asthma related apparently so not sure that one is hayfever related or not. I have the croaky voice this time too, was on the phone to clients at work today and my voice kept croaking - I sound like a man at times lol.

Hi April,

I haven't joined yet, I did post one message as a guest to wish the site well when you first started it. I do have a look from time to time but I don't want to get addicted/involved in another forum right now lol as I'm trying to cut down on this one and spend less time on the pc (not really succeeding yet though!).

Your site looks great though and good to see you have a few more joined now.

Hi April

Yes i too suffer with very bad hayfever & asthma.

My doctor perscribed citirizine for the hayfever (i have tried so many different things in the past for it) but these present tablets are really great.
With asthma i just have my inhalers on standby.

Take Care

My daughter has hayfever and her eyes get really bad. She uses 'Eyebright' from Liz earle range and it really helps to calm and sooth her eyes. You can get it on the Interent

Hi apriltones,

sorry to hear you are suffering with the dreaded hayfever too. It makes me feel very tired, I get sneezy and my eyes get very sore and itchy.
I was reading a book "What really works in Natural health" by Susan Clark and she mentions nettle as being very good, they have vit c and vit k in and immune boosting proteins and anti-inflammatory agent called scopoletin. I don't know if they do nettle in a tablet form. I might give it a go.

At the moment I'm trying homeopathic Pollenna but to be honest no great success yet I had to take citirizine yesterday as I had quite bad symptoms.

good luck with finding something that works for you,

Hi Apriltones,
bought some nettle tea today to try. I do notice my breathing more with hayfever as it sounds a bit wheezy. I was shaky today but I think that was down to low blood sugar.

I'll let you know if the nettle tea works!;)

Hayfever is awful isn't it, I have asthma too. I used to hate it when I went to school and then the hayfever starts aggrivating you its just terrible having to blow your nose every 5 minutes. Do you find that any tablets help? Any anti-histamines? lol.

My daughter takes clarityn, it helps a little bit. Someone has suggested we try and find a shop that selss local honey as taking that evryday from honey produced locally can build up your immunity to the pollen. I'm trying to source some now, but it has to be from local bees!
