View Full Version : any tips for throat/neck tension

Hi, I'm new to this, just wandered if anyone knows some good techniques for neck and throat tension, just had a really bad day, feels like my shirt collar is done up really tight. Have done applied relaxation, the tensioning body parts and relaxing many times today, it just won't go away. I have been diagnosed as suffering gad, went on a stress course but still bad, waiting for one to one theropist now.

Stretching is good too because it loosens up those knotted muscles. Nothing too drastic though.

I heard recently that Tea tree shower gels and bath oils are good also as the mentol really helps to revive the muscles when tense.

I feel for you because i know how horrid this feels

Hey Lisa, thanks for the reply, ill try the neck stretches, did find a good site that explained them, ill post the link for others. Usually find the relaxation techniques help but today nothing seems to be working. Just been one of those bad anxious days. Do you suffer from physical symptoms anxiety?
